Ingredients:
500g (1 lb) ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 burger buns
Cheese slices (optional)
Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping
Ketchup and mustard (optional)
Butter for toasting the buns
Instructions:
Prepare the Patties:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until everything is well incorporated.
Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Press the center slightly to avoid puffing up during cooking.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with oil or butter.
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side (or until they reach your desired doneness). If you want cheese on your burger, add a slice of cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
Toast the Buns:
While the burgers cook, cut the buns in half and lightly butter the cut sides.
Toast them in a separate pan or under the grill until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Burger:
Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and any other toppings you like.
Top with ketchup and mustard if desired, then cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve and Enjoy!
Serve your delicious homemade burgers with fries chips, or a side salad.
