Homemade Burger

Ingredients:

  • 500g (1 lb) ground beef (preferably 80% lean)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 4 burger buns

  • Cheese slices (optional)

  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping

  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Butter for toasting the buns Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Patties:

    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until everything is well incorporated.

    • Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Press the center slightly to avoid puffing up during cooking.

  2. Cook the Patties:

    • Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with oil or butter.

    • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side (or until they reach your desired doneness). If you want cheese on your burger, add a slice of cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. Toast the Buns:

    • While the burgers cook, cut the buns in half and lightly butter the cut sides.

    • Toast them in a separate pan or under the grill until golden and crispy.

  4. Assemble the Burger:

    • Place the cooked patty on the bottom half of the bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and any other toppings you like.

    • Top with ketchup and mustard if desired, then cover with the top half of the bun.

  5. Serve and Enjoy!

    • Serve your delicious homemade burgers with fries chips, or a side salad.

Enjoy your homemade burger!
